Welcome to the online search, browse and ordering facility for "Colin Harris Postcards & Books". We are full time dealers based in Portsmouth and trade at many fairs all over the country. We have tables in the Antiques Storehouse at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard where you can find many of our lower cost postcards. We also organise the Portchester Collectors Fair. Use the links on the left hand side of this page to browse through categories and view the subcategories. New additions to the website will always appear at the top of the list when browsing.

Advanced Search

The quick search box above on the left can be used for a simple search. The advanced search facility allows you to search within categories. You can also choose between searching for 'all the words' or 'any of the words' you type in. Click here to use the Advanced Search. The advanced search also appears as the 'Search' link at the top of other pages on the site

Postage costs

Postage is calculated by the total weight. Postage for postcards will usually be £1.00 and should cover many postcards ordered together in a board backed 'Do Not Bend' envelope. If postcards are ordered together with books, the total combined weight will determine the charge. All orders are combined to keep postage to a minimum. Customers are also welcome to collect in person by arrangement, or to pick up orders from any of the fairs I attend. There is also an option to add Recorded Delivery or Special Delivery ( or International Recorded) on the final checkout page

Active content & Activex controls on this website

Some browsers may warn of 'active content' and 'Activex controls' on the website. These are simply used to allow pop-up images of the postcards and books and to enable efficicient navigation. All such instances can be safely permitted.

Secure payment through Paypal

Anyone wishing to send debit card or credit card payment securely through Paypal can do so with total confidence. At the checkout, there is a link that takes you to Paypal's own secure pages. After clicking on the Paypal button, you should see "https://www.paypal.com..." (an extra 's' for 'secure' after the http) at the start of the address line, and a yellow padlock in the bottom right area of your screen confirming that you have left our website and are now on Paypal's secure merchant payment pages. After payment, you will receive an email confirming receipt. Merchants do not have access to card numbers or log in details - we simply receive notification from Paypal that a payment has been made.
